Banana Pudding Ice Cream

Delicious creamy sweet homemade banana pudding ice cream. The PERFECT summertime treat!

Equipment

  • 1 Ice Cream Maker
  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Freezer Safe Container

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 2.5 Cups Whole Milk
  • 5.1 oz Instant Banana Pudding Mix
  • 1 Cup Chopped or broken butter cookies
  • 2 medium Banana slices sprinkled with lemon juice to help prevent browning

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine the heavy cream, milk, and pudding mix.  Whisk until combined.  Add to the ice cream machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions and churn until the manufacturer’s instructions indicate.  
  • The banana slices and cookies can be folded in after the ice finishes churning.
  • The banana pudding ice cream can be served immediately or can be transferred to a freezer-safe container to store or harden further (I cannot advise on how long it can be stored in the freezer, as we ate ours within a few days, because it’s so good!). Recipe makes about 2 quarts (amount may vary some).
