Author:
Recipe type: Jelly/Jam/Spread
Serves: About 3 Cups
Ingredients
  • 8 apples (I used a combination of 4 red delicious and 4 golden delicious apples), peeled, cored, and chopped
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup apple cider
Instructions
  1. Stir the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt together in a small bowl to combine. Toss the sugar mixture together with the chopped apples in a slow-cooker. Pour the apple cider into the slow-cooker.
  2. Cook on low for about 5-6 hours, or until the apples are nice and soft.
  3. Remove the apples from heat and allow them to cool. Using an emersion blender, blend the apples to your desired consistency.
  4. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Makes about 3 cups.
