Give your French Toast a little crunch using your favorite cereal!

Serves: 4 slices
Ingredients
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ⅛ tsp ground clove
  • ⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 1 and ½ cups sweet cereal (we used Honey Bunches of Oats)
  • 4 large slices of sweet bread (we used a sweet Hawaiian bread)
  • Butter and maple syrup for serving
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, ground clove, ground cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract together. In a separate bowl, add in the cereal.
  2. Dip each side of a slice of bread into the egg mixture. Then dip each side of the slice of bread into the cereal.
  3. Cook each side of the bread on medium heat in a non-stick skillet for about 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.
  4. Repeat dipping each slice of bread into the egg mixture and cereal and cooking the French toast.
  5. Cut each piece of Crispy French Toast into triangles. Arrange the slices of French toast on a plate and top with a pad of butter. Drizzle with maple syrup.
