A delicious take on a burger using fresh salmon!
Author:
Recipe type: Sandwich
Cuisine: American
Ingredients
  • 1 and ½ lbs fresh salmon
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup roasted red bell pepper (from a jar is fine), diced
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • ½ tsp granulated garlic
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes
  • ¼ tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • ⅔ cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Your favorite burger toppings, such as: Sliced tomatoes, lettuce, onion, mayonnaise, tarter sauce, etc.
Instructions
  1. Using a fork, pull the salmon away from the skin. Place the salmon into a mixing bowl. Add in the rest of the ingredients and stir until combined. Form into four patties.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet on medium-high heat. (You want enough oil to come up about ¼ of an inch in the skillet.) To test the oil to make sure it’s hot enough, sprinkle in a few breadcrumbs. If they sizzle, the oil is ready. Reduce the heat to medium.
  3. Gently place the patties into the oil. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown on each side.
  4. Serve the Salmon Burger on a sandwich bun with your favorite toppings. I used lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise for mine!
