Carolina BBQ Hot Dog

Carolina BBQ Hot Dog

Carolina BBQ Hot Dog

It’s officially summertime and that means getting outside to grill out! Who doesn’t love a good ol’ hot dog? Time to ditch the regular mustard (and/or ketchup) and relish topped dogs and try a Carolina BBQ Hot Dog!

Have you ever had Carolina-style BBQ? It’s a mustard/vinegar based sauce that is nice and tangy. Most Carolina BBQ I’ve had is usually topped with sweet-crisp coleslaw! Imagine all of that goodness right on top of your delicious hot dog! To balance out the flavors, some fresh jalapeno slices are added for a pop of heat and some crispy fried onions to add a little crunch! You’ll be saying buh-bye to the old standard hot dog when you try this!

*Please note this is a recipe that is a “use as much or as little” of the ingredients that you like. There are no specific measurements to this one!

Ingredients:
Cooked Hot Dogs, grilled or steamed until cooked/heated through
Carolina BBQ Sauce (use your favorite brand, these are also good with a tomato-based BBQ sauce as well)
