Grilled Marinated Pork Chops

Grilled Marinated Pork Chops

Pork chops

We love to grill. We grill all-year-around. Even in Indiana, we cleared a path through the snow on our patio, so we could still grill our favorite foods. Are we crazy? Probably a little bit.

We used to drive over an hour to a meat locker in Indiana that we loved. They have THE BEST smoked pork chops. We would find a marinade and then grill them. We have tried many different marinade recipes, but my favorite so far has been the one I came up with. It is flavored with bourbon and orange juice. The marinade really gets into the meat creating a juicy and flavorful chop.

Time to get your grill on!

Ingredients:
¼ cup bourbon
¼ cup orange juice
¼ extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp ground ginger
4 boneless, center cut pork chops (bone-in is fine too)

pork chop marinade

Whisk the bourbon, orange juice, olive oil, soy sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground ginger together in a bowl.

Pork chops in marinade

Pour the marinade over the pork chops. Be sure the pork chops get coated on each side. Cover the bowl and marinate for at least 1 hour.

Pork chops on grill

Grill the marinated pork chops on medium-high heat until the pork in cooked through. Turn over halfway through cook time. Discard any remaining marinade.

Pork chops

Serve the pork chops with your favorite side dish such as: Mac and Cheese.
